Storyboardart.org

I've started doing some storyboard tutorials from storyboardart.org. So far it looks like an amazing resource. The video tuts I am doing have assignments at the end of them so I'll post up the assignments as I get through them. 

Here's the first part of assignment one from the Trainee Story Artist video series.

Draw ten compositions from your favourite film. I chose Yojimbo because I had the DVD handy and Akira Kurosawa is awesome.

It's been a while since I've watched a film with something like this in mind. When I am actively watching every scene and thinking about how and why everything is composed in the shot the way it is it's a different experience to just watching and enjoying the film.
